The Pink Tour has come to an end after 122 days on the road and meeting with thousands of Ontarians across the province. Thanks to the support of Shoppers Drug Mart and CIBC, we were thrilled to have 21,500 visitors on board to ask questions and learn something new about breast health to share with their friends and family.
Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation is setting out on the road this summer on Pink Tour 2013, empowering women to improve their breast health and make informed choices about screening as part of a healthy lifestyle. The aim is to let women know that one third of breast cancers are preventable and that regular screening save lives.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among Canadian women over the age of 20; and one in nine Canadian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. The Pink Tour brings critical breast health information to women where they live, work and play and will reach diverse communities across Ontario.
The Foundation encourages women to get on board to learn practical tips that can help reduce breast cancer risk and the benefits of screening with the Ontario Breast Screening Program.
After a tremendously impactful Pink Tour in 2012, Shoppers Drug Mart and CIBC are lending their support once again for this year’s Tour. Shoppers Drug Mart and CIBC are committed to bringing women’s health information to the communities they serve, and we thank them and their employees for their passionate commitment to the breast cancer cause.
During the Pink Tour 2013, visitors will be invited to enter a contest at the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation tent. To enter and be eligible to win, entrants must be a legal resident of Canada (excluding residents of Quebec) and be 18 years of age or older. Limit of one entry per email address. No purchase is necessary. Winner will be randomly selected on July 11, August 1, August 28 and September 15 during the term of the contest. The contest closes on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at 5 pm EST. By entering the contest, entrants agree to accept and abide by the contest rules and regulations.
